In a remarkable display of international cooperation in the field of healthcare, a distinguished delegation from Pakistan, led by Prof. Amer Aziz, Chairman of GHURKI TRUST AND TEACHING Hospital Pakistan today paid a visit to the Muhimbili Orthopaedic Institute (MOI) in Tanzania.
The primary aim of this visit was to initiate collaborative efforts aimed at advancing spine surgeries, particularly in the management of scoliosis and TB spine conditions.
The delegation was warmly received by Prof. Dr. Abel Makubi, the Executive Director of MOI, who expressed his enthusiasm for the partnership, accompanied by local experts, including Dr. Bryson Mcharo, a renowned Paediatric Orthopaedic surgeon, and Dr. Hamis Shaban, a prominent neurosurgeon from MOI.
The visit laid the foundation for collaboration in the area of training programs, fellowships, surgical camps, and the provision of medical equipment.
