Introduction
Welcome to the Directorate of Clinical Support Services at the Muhimbili Orthopaedic Institute (MOI), where our commitment to delivering exceptional healthcare is led by Dr. Asha Abdullah, a highly experienced anesthesiologist. As one of the six directorates at MOI, our mission is to provide high-quality clinical support services to all patients attending MOI, whether they are inpatients or outpatients.
Department Structure
In pursuit of excellence, our directorate is organized into five dedicated sections:
1. Physician and Pharmacy: Ensuring comprehensive medical care and pharmaceutical services. Led by Dr. Reuben Mutaganywa
2. Diagnostic (Radiology and Laboratory): Offering state-of-the-art diagnostic services through radiology and laboratory facilities. Led by Dr. Mechris Mango
3. Anaesthesia, ICU, and HDU: Providing specialized anesthesiology services along with advanced care in Intensive Care Units (ICU) and High Dependency Units (HDU). Led by Dr. Albert Ulimali
4. Emergency and Theatre: Ensuring round-the-clock emergency services and expert support in the operating theatre. Led by Sr. Prisca Tarimo
5. Physiotherapy and Workshop: Delivering rehabilitation through physiotherapy services and offering orthotics and prosthetics expertise. Led by PT Marry Chandeu.
