MOI Laboratory Profile

Muhimbili Orthopaedic Institute Laboratory, operating under the Directorate of Clinical Support Services, is a well-equipped facility with modern and advanced biological analyzers that facilitate day-to-day laboratory operations. This accreditation is a significant step that demonstrates the laboratory’s commitment to meeting international standards of quality and competence. It was established in 2003 and has a total of 15 staff.

The laboratory offers a range of essential diagnostic services to support medical professionals in providing accurate diagnoses and effective treatments. The services provided include:

1. Haematology Tests: These tests involve the analysis of blood samples to assess various parameters related to blood cell counts and hemoglobin levels. Haematology tests are crucial for diagnosing conditions such as anemia, infections, and blood disorders.
